Supreme Religious Authority
In Friday’s sermon the representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, sayyid Ahmed EsSafi, delivered on June 14, 2019, he warned against the gaps that may help ISIS return, make supporters, and carry out attacks.
EsSafi reported what the office of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, sayyid Ali Elhussaini EsSistani, informed, on the anniversary of the call to arms against ISIS, “The ongoing conflicts over gains and interests, fomenting security, tribal, and sectarian problems here and there for certain purposes, and not quickly tackling the issues of the war-torn territories will allow ISIS to disturb the country’s security.”
He added, “Normalizing the situation and insuring security in the war-torn territories, based on professional foundations, observing the citizens’ sanctity, in terms of living with honor and dignity, will secure the country.”
EsSafi indicated that the authorities concerned with the country’s security status ought to be attentive and hold the reins of government in order to foil any possible terrorist attack.
